About

Hiya!
I’m Jay Reynolds, an artist living in Portland, Oregon.

Curious about commission rates, availability, and timelines?
Me too!
…Emailing me at stuffedskullcat@msn.com is best for that.

I love for my art to portray the many facets of geekery that I enjoy in fun, interesting, and sometimes gross ways.

Monsters, creatures, aliens, fantasy, science fiction, combined with GenX nostalgia and silliness, all adorn my wheelhouse, with a primary interest in tabletop and boardgame publications.

CREDITS

  • ECHO LIFEBOAT by Occupied Hex Games.
Explore doomed spaceships and uncover what happened while trying to unlock the lifeboat and be one of the lucky few to board it. Echo Lifeboat is a light, QR-code-based travel-ready game that fits in your pocket! Cover and illustration contributions.
  • ENDLESS GRINDSET by Occupied Hex Games.
“Take on a deadly tower full of terrible monsters and rad magic in this roguelike RPG. Built on the MÖRK BORG game engine for an old school player slaughterhouse that’s easy to teach and learn. Illustration contributions.
  • DUSTER by Occupied Hex Games.
“A tabletop role-playing game set in the ruins of the Old States, where folks have rebuilt their world in the style and function of the old west”. Illustration contributions.
  • HOW STEPHANIE BECAME STRANGE is a 30-page comic written by Portland musician Stephanie Strange, which coincides with her new album. I created the layout, pencils, inks, and lettering for the book, with another artist contributing the cover.
  • GOLD SQUADRON PODCAST has commissioned me for several custom X-Wing Miniatures card art variants, used for GSP tournament prizes.
  • WEIRD CITY GAMES commissioned me for concept and game art illustrations for their Little Pig boardgame Kickstarter; unfortunately, it did not fund, but I’ve had the pleasure of working with WCG on their March of the Ants game expansions.
